Sealing
Sealing is a chemical treatment applied after electroplating processes such as zinc or zinc-nickel plating, with the aim of further enhancing the protective performance of the coating.
The process involves applying a sealing layer that acts on the treated surfaces, reducing the permeability of the coating and increasing resistance to external agents.
The main advantages are:
- increased corrosion resistance
- improved long-term protection
- enhanced performance of the base treatment
Sealing is therefore a complementary treatment, particularly suitable for components exposed to aggressive environments or critical operating conditions.
