Meoni e Bartoletti

Origins and Production Development

Founded in 1950 as a partnership between Bartoletti Amelio and Meoni Armando, the company began its activity producing small metal components for third parties in the province of Pistoia, within a region historically rooted in metalworking and industrial manufacturing.

In 1954, following an increase in production volumes, operations were moved to a new facility. Alongside small metal components, the company began producing bicycle accessories, installing its first chrome plating system for component finishing.

In 1964, with the acquisition of a competing company, the current headquarters in Via di Gora e Barbatole was established and remains operational today. In the following years, the company expanded its product range by introducing pedal manufacturing and installing new nickel and zinc plating systems, strengthening its presence in the Italian and European bicycle accessories market.

Industrial Transformation and Specialization

At the end of the 1980s, in response to the contraction of the bicycle sector, the company initiated a major industrial transformation, progressively focusing all resources on electroplating.

Significant investments were made in advanced technological systems and high process-control production lines, with the aim of ensuring reliability, quality and repeatability.

By the end of the 1990s, the transformation was completed with the introduction of grinding and induction hardening lines, definitively replacing pedal production and consolidating the company’s specialization in electroplating for industrial applications.

Consolidation and Industrial Positioning

Thanks to the experience gained and a continuous program of technological upgrading, Meoni e Bartoletti has strengthened its position over time as a specialized operator in electroplating for high-quality applications.

Having evolved into a joint-stock company, the firm collaborates with leading manufacturers and component suppliers for scooters, motorcycles, automobiles and heavy vehicles, operating in a production environment focused on quality, process traceability and systematic performance control.

Strategic Integration within the H.U.G.S. Auto Group

In 2025, Meoni e Bartoletti SRL was acquired as part of the European expansion strategy of H.U.G.S. Auto Group, an international industrial group active in the production of components and systems for the automotive sector.

This operation represents the natural evolution of a growth and industrial specialization path that began in 1950, integrating electroplating expertise into a global production platform.

Today, Meoni e Bartoletti operates as the Group’s European production unit, contributing to the integrated industrial supply chain supporting international automotive markets.

Within this structure, the company maintains its production base in Italy, continuing to operate with technical autonomy and high quality standards, in line with the Group’s industrial strategies.
