Polishing

Polishing is a mechanical process performed on previously machined components, aimed at improving surface finish and reducing roughness.

The operations can be carried out using:

• dry systems with abrasive compounds (cloths, sisal)
• wet systems with belts and specific processing techniques

The treatment is mainly applied to components subject to chrome or nickel plating, to optimize surface characteristics before or after coating.
